Tim wraps up his interview with Disney historian Paula Sigman Lowery as they talk about the development of the Walt Disney Family Museum and about Walt's relationship with his father Elias. Tim also chats on the phone with WDFM CEO Gabriella Calicchio about upcoming events at the Museum (and apologizes in advance for the murky sound quality). The Museum has a full slate of special exhibitions coming up, including the work of Maurice Sendak, Camille Rose Garcia and Tyrus Wong. Also paying a visit to the Lounge once again is Tina, who has a thing or two to say about beer. www.TheMouseCastle.com

Paula Sigman Lowery is a noted Disney historian who spent 20 years working for Disney mostly at the Walt Disney Archives. In part one of my conversation with her, we discuss the genesis of the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, the relationship between Walt and his wife Lillian, and why Paula is such a huge "Spin and Marty" fan. Also, I meet up with my friend Tina for happy hour drinks at one of our favorite Anaheim hangouts, the Nectarine Bar at the Anabella Hotel. www.TheMouseCastle.com

We aim for some highbrow culture in this edition of The Mouse Castle Lounge, but end up reviewing Philip Glass' opera about Walt Disney instead. "The Perfect American" is yet another exercise in perpetuating the worst urban legends that exist about Walt. It's viewable online if you feel like trashing two hours of your life. Also, Tim Callaway previews two new books written by people who actually know what they're talking about, takes a trip to "Monsters University" and revisits Disneyland's 25th anniversary where he finds soy sauce. www.TheMouseCastle.com

Video bloggers and independent filmmakers are causing a stir at Disney these days and Tim Callaway talks about it all inside The Mouse Castle Lounge. See why "Escape From Tomorrow" is the most daring film to come out of the Sundance Film Festival and why Disney attorneys are probably pissed off about it. Also, join Tim during the summer of 1974 and the grand opening of America Sings at Disneyland and pay a visit to the blog of animation director and screenwriter Brenda Chapman. www.TheMouseCastle.com
